Most small businesses can't work without the ability to take sensitive customer data outside the office from time to time. If you lose that data, however, you've got trouble. Big trouble. It's made by Rocstor, a California-based company that specializes in fast, high-capacity data-storage units. Though the Airhawk is not an encrypted drive, encryption is one of Rocstor's specialties. The drive is both bus-powered and bootable, so if your laptop isn't booting up for some reason, the Airhawk A3 could get the system up as long as an operating system is loaded on the drive.

January 10, 2010	USB 3.0 Finally Arrives. Adoption is faster than with previous versions -- but we want more, now. Here's why. While the WD drive was the first to announce, a slew of other hard drive makers either announced products at the show, or discussed plans to release products in the coming months. Among them: Seagate (which is doing a portable drive), LaCie, Rocstor, and Iomega. Even non-traditional hard drive vendors like Dane-Elec and A-Data showed products they billed as USB 3.0 (the latter two even had USB 3.0-connected SSDs, the first external drives to use solid-state storage inside.
